We are dedicating this year in honor of Kathleen Hult who has been living with ALS for 21+ years and brought the Walk to Defeat ALS to Minnesota 21 years ago!
We benefit so much from the support services offered by the ALS Association! Researchers are hard at work trying to find treatments and a cure for this cruel disease.
Gae is fortunate to be living a long time, thanks to your love and support!
Please ~ will you assist us to help others living with ALS in our community by making a donation? …
Top 3 Reasons to Reply with a donation:
1. Fund Care Services: We are dedicated to easing the burden for families touched by this disease. The MN/ND/SD Chapter offers local support groups, medical equipment loans, communication technology and assistive device loans, primary family caregiver respite program, volunteer assistance opportunities and multi-disciplinary clinics to facilitate treatment throughout various stages of ALS. Donations through the Walk support the care services we provide within our community.
2. Make Research Studies & Clinical Trials Possible: Supporters, like you, have helped us fund over $100 million in ALS Research. The ALS Association has active projects in our Translational Research Advancing Therapies (TREAT ALS™) research portfolio. With your help, we aspire to raise an additional funds this year to grow our research and clinical trial portfolio.
3. Support Public Policy: We are lobbying daily on the behalf of people with ALS for federal ALS research funding, Medicare and social security assistance and veterans benefits. You can stop by our advocacy booth at the Walk to receive our most recent updates.
Blessings of much gratitude for all of your generous contributions,
Gae & Ed Skager
