EVENTS SCHEDULE

We have fifteen ALS Association MN/ND/SD Chapter sponsored fundraising events throughout the year.

When you hear the phrase “charity fundraiser,” you might think of galas, walk-a-thons and golf tournaments. However, it has become clear to us that people across the country have begun thinking about fund-raising in a whole new way.  Community fundraisers are on the rise. The ALS Association, MN/ND/SD Chapter received donations from more than 30 community fundraisers, which raised nearly $79,000 in 2012.  From sports tournaments to spaghetti dinners, people have been introducing ALS and the Chapter’s programs and services to their network in a meaningful and personal way.  By choosing to plan and facilitate an event that appeals to one’s friends and family, event organizers have the power to reach large audiences (audiences that are entirely new to the organization). As we receive information about these community events they will be posted with our regular annual events below.

The Chapter has a wide range of resources for those planning an event, including on-line funds that can be set up to tell personal stories, advertise the event and collect credit card donations.  If you are interested in hosting a community fundraiser or would like to learn more about them, please contact Kristin Skaar at the Chapter office (888-672-0484 or kristin@alsmn.org).
